Excel Control Report for Provisional
Tax
We have developed an Excel report that can be used to check the Provisional
tax returns directly from the GreatSoft database. Download "Linking
Excel to SQL Provisional Tax Control.zip" from the e-Tax folder on the
GreatSoft FTP site and follow the instructions in the document contained in
the zip to setup up the Excel report on your system. The document applies to
Microsoft Word 2007 and e-Tax release 7 only.
A big benefit of using Excel to review the report is that you can filter on
the relevant columns as needed using the power of Excel Filters.
I hope that the IRP6 submission pressures have reduced substantially and
that you guys are now mainly checking and handling exceptions. And,
hopefully, next time around SARS will not make such drastic changes to the
procedures.
Thank You
