SARS e-Filing announced this morning that the new fields for IRP6 2012 P2 (Turnover and Practitioner details) will not be implemented for IRP6 2012 P2 submissions done via the ISV interface.
Due to the concerns raised by many firms, SARS have taken a decision to delay implementation of these fields until after Feb 2012. I am sure that even though most firms have already made the necessary adjustments to their processes this delay will be much appreciated. Unfortunately it does not help much with the confusion created for Taxpayers.
It is disappointing that there continues to be a delay between the timing of decisions taken by SARS and the actual publication of the related announcements. The change control has to be improved and should take into account the impact on processes for taxpayers, tax professionals and software vendors.
